Dressing the deceased

Many people choose that their loved one wear their own clothing to be buried or cremated – this is a personal choice for you to make.

Any piece of clothing that represents a personal passion, hobby, occasion or achievement are very popular. Items such as wedding dresses, football strips, military uniforms or motorbike leathers are some examples of what’s often chosen.

Dressing the deceased in their own apparel is generally fine, but there may be some exceptions. Especially for cremations, because we need to meet with regulations which restrict certain materials.

Feel free to come to us for advice if you are choosing clothes for the deceased. Otherwise, we can provide gowns with each of our coffins and it’s possible to view the full Moar & Butler’s range along with our coffin interiors.

If you need more guidance, we’re always here to help.
