Are there dress code rules for a funeral?

Modern society is becoming more relaxed, so black suits and black ties aren’t necessarily required for all funerals.
That said, black is still worn the most by mourners in the funeral congregation. But don’t worry, there are no strict rules to say that you must wear black. In fact, many other fashion trends and colours are beginning to be used as a form of celebration.
Some of the deceased families often make a specific request for guests not to wear black – or ask that the guests wear bright clothing attending on their invites. This modern change is especially popular for funerals of younger people.
