An obituary notice is a news article that reports the recent passing of a person, and will normally be accompanied by a description of the person’s life and (if known) information about the arrangements for the funeral. This can also sometimes be referred to as an ‘announcement’.
There are two types of notices that are generally available for obituaries.
- Known as a death notice, this omits most biographical details and may be a legally required public notice under some circumstances.
- A paid for paid memorial advertisement, normally in a local paper is usually written by family members or friends, the Moar & Butler team are here to help with this if required.
